4 All-New Maruti Suzuki Cars, SUVs To Launch By 2023-24

Maruti Suzuki is getting aggressive with its product strategy for the Indian market. This year, the company launched multiple new models including the new Brezza, new Baleno, Grand Vitara and new Alto K10. Adding to it, MSIL is preparing multiple new models which will be launched in our market in the next 1 to 1.5 years.

New Maruti YTB Crossover

Maruti Suzuki is preparing a new crossover based on the Baleno hatchback, which is scheduled to make global debut at Auto Expo 2023. Codenamed YTB, the new Maruti YTB is reportedly to be launched in February 2023. The new model will share styling cues from Suzuki Futuro e concept unveiled at the 2020 Auto Expo. It will share the interior and features with the Baleno hatchback. The new model will be powered by a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with mild hybrid tech. This engine is capable of producing 100bhp and 150Nm of torque. It could also get a 1.2-litre DualJet petrol engine with mild hybrid tech.

Maruti Suzuki has started testing the long-wheelbase version of the Jimny on the Indian roads. Scheduled to make global debut at Auto Expo 2023, the new lifestyle SUV is expected to be launched by mid-2023. The new Jimny 5-door will rival the likes of the Mahindra Thar and the Force Gurkha. It will be sold through NEXA premium dealership network. Based on the Jimny Sierra, the new 5-door Jimny will ride on 300mm longer wheelbase and the length has been increased by 300mm.

The 5-door Maruti Suzuki Jimny will be powered by a new 1.5-litre K15C naturally-aspirated petrol with a mild hybrid set-up. This engine is capable of producing 101bhp and 137Nm of torque. Transmission choices will include a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic. The new Jimny 5 door will come fitted with Suzuki’s AllGrip Pro AWD setup, which is the most capable version of Suzuki’s AllGrip tech.

Next-gen Maruti Swift

Suzuki has started testing the next-gen Swift hatchback on the European streets. The India-spec model is reportedly to be launched sometime in early 2024. The new model will witness comprehensive changes in terms of styling, features and powertrain. If media reports are to be believed, the new model will come with the strong hybrid tech. Codenamed YED, the new Swift will come with the new 1.2L 3-cylinder petrol engine boosted with Toyota’s strong hybrid technology. The strong hybrid powertrain is expected to deliver a mileage of around 35-40kmpl. The Swift’s new strong hybrid version will also meet the upcoming CAFÉ II (Corporate Average Fuel Economy) standards. The new model will be based on the modified HEARTECT platform.

Next-gen Maruti Dzire

Similar to the next-gen Swift, MSIL is also preparing the next-gen Dzire sub-4 meter sedan. It will be based on the modified HEARTECT platform that underpins the Baleno hatchback. The new model is reportedly to be launched in the first quarter of 2024. The new Dzire will come with an all-new 1.2L petrol engine with 3-cylinder setup, which will be benefited with Toyota’s strong hybrid tech. Codenamed Z12E, the new Dzire is expected to offer an ARAI certified mileage of 35-40kmpl.
