Toyota Glanza

The first production from Toyota and Suzuki JV, the Glanza premium hatchback will officially go on sale in the country in June 2019. The premium hatchback is basically the re-badged Maruti Suzuki Baleno. It is scheduled to be launched on June 6, 2019. Except for the new grille, the Glanza is largely identical to the Baleno. It will be powered by the BSVI compliant 1.2-litre K-Series petrol engine that is good for 83bhp and 115Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a CVT automatic. Kia SP2i

Korean automaker, Kia will officially introduce the production version of the much-awaited SP2i SUV in the Indian market on June 20, 2019. The SUV is based on an all-new platform, which is compatible to accommodate longer wheelbase or 7-seater SUV. The Kia SP2i is rumoured to be called Trailster or Tusker. It will be powered by a 1.5-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The highly-anticipated MG Hector SUV will finally go on sale in our market in the first half of June 2019. Certain dealers have already started taking pre-orders for the SUV, though the official bookings will commence in June 2019. The SUV will directly rival the Tata Harrier, Mahindra XUV500 and others in its category. The SUV is equipped with several segment-first features. It will be available with 3 engine options – a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol, a Fiat-sourced 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel and a 1.5-litre petrol + 48V mild hybrid system. Continue reading…

Renault Triber

French automaker, Renault will unveil the 7-seater crossover-MPV Triber in the Indian market on June 19, 2019. It will be based on the modified CMF-A platform that also underpins the Kwid hatchback. The 7-seater crossover MPV will directly rival the Datsun GO+ and the upcoming Wagon R 7-seater. It will be powered by a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine that also powers the Kwid, but this engine will be tuned for higher power output.
