3 New Launches From Maruti, Hyundai, Honda in March 2020

In March 2020, we will witness the launch of three important products from leading carmakers in the country. The lineup includes the new Maruti Vitara Brezza facelift, the second-generation Hyundai Creta compact SUV and the fifth-generation Honda City sedan. However, the launch dates for all three models are yet to be revealed by their respective carmakers.

The 2020 Maruti Vitara Brezza recently made its public debut at the Auto Expo 2020. The updated version comes with subtle cosmetic upgrades and a few new features. Major change comes in the form of the new 1.5L K-Series petrol engine that meets the new BS6 emission norms.

The new gasoline motor comes as a replacement to the BS4 1.3L Multijet diesel engine. The new Vitara Brezza has also received a 4-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox along with the standard 5-speed manual transmission.

The South Korean carmaker recently unveiled the 2020 Hyundai Creta compact SUV for the Indian market. The vehicle has witnessed significant design changes and interior upgrades along with a new set of powertrains. The new-generation version is likely to share its engines and gearboxes with the Kia Seltos.

Compared the current model, the new one looks sportier and slightly bigger. It gets Hyundai’s BlueLink in-car connected technology and a panoramic sunroof. Ahead of its launch, certain dealers have started taking pre-booking orders across the nation.

The 2020 Honda City will be one of the major launches of the next month. Recently, the Japanese carmaker dropped a teaser picture of the sedan revealing its silhouette and illuminated taillamps. Similar to the Thailand-spec version, the Indian model will be longer and wider than before.

The sedan will receive major changes inside and out. In fact, the engine bay might be equipped a hybrid powertrain (1.5L petrol + two motors e:HEV mild hybrid technology). It will also get BS6-compliant versions of the existing 1.5L i-VTEC petrol and 1.5L i-DTEC diesel engines with a 6-speed manual and a CVT gearbox option.
