These 3 bikes will be launched in India in early 2019.

Classic Legends has confirmed that the new Jawa motorcycles for India have been designed and developed from scratch and will have no relation will the Jawa bikes sold internationally. These 3 bikes will be based on the same platform and will be powered by a 293cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine. This powertrain is basically the tuned version of Mahindra Mojo’s engine. The fuel-injected engine is capable of producing 27bhp of power and 28Nm of torque, which makes it more powerful than its direct rivals – Royal Enfield Classic 350 and Thunderbird 350.

According to the company, the new engine is designed to mimic the older 2-stroke Jawa engines. It features faux cooling fins and twin-exhaust layout. For transmission duties, the bike will have 6-speed gearbox. Classic Legends claims that the new engine offers good mid-range and a flat torque curve. The company claims that the engineers have managed to achieve the original Jawa’s exhaust note without compromising with the performance.
