3 Major Launches From Maruti & Hyundai In Next 3 Months

India’s two leading passenger vehicle manufacturers – Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai – are ready to launch their major products of the year. While the Indo-Japanese automaker will bring in the Fronx compact crossover and 5-door Jimny, the South Korean carmaker will roll out the new-generation Verna sedan. 2023 Hyundai Verna Specs

Hyundai Motor India has confirmed that the new-generation Verna will go on sale on 21st March 2023. The sedan comes with significantly improved design, upmarket interior and two petrol engines – 113bhp, 1.5L naturally aspirated and 160bhp, 1.5L turbo. The carmaker has revealed that the 2023 Hyundai Verna has been packed with a 10.25-inch infotainment system, Bose audio system, touch-based climate control panel and segment-first heated seats along with the ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) tech. Maruti Fronx

New Maruti Crossover Fronx

Maruti Suzuki Fronx will be the company’s answer to the Tata Punch. Its prices are expected to be announced in April 2023. The compact crossover, which is based on the Baleno hatchback, will come in five trims – Sigma, Delta, Delta+, Zeta and Alpha. For power, the Fronx uses a 100bhp, 1.0L turbo petrol Boosterjet and a 90bhp, 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol engine. Both motors are benefited with mild hybrid tech. Some of its key features include Suzuki connected car features, a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity, height adjustable driver’s seat, rear AC vents, leather wrapped steering wheel, HUD, a 360 degree camera, cruise control, etc. More details here…

Maruti Suzuki Jimny 5-door

Maruti Suzuki’s second major product launch of the year will be the 5-door Jimny off-road SUV. Here, it will be positioned against the upcoming 5-door Mahindra Thar. Under the hood, the Jimny features a 1.5L K15B petrol engine with mild hybrid tech that’s good for 103bhp and 134Nm. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed torque convertor automatic. Features such as 50 degree departure angle, 36 degree approach angle, 24 degree ramp over angle, Suzuki’s AllGrip Pro drivetrain system with a dedicated low-ratio transfer case and 210mm ground clearance enhance its off-road capabilities.
