3 Big Car Launches Next Week

New Car Launches

Official bookings for all three new cars have already been commenced across the nation.

January 2019 will witness three big car launches of the year – Nissan Kicks compact SUV, Tata Harrier premium SUV and the new-generation Maruti Suzuki WagonR. All three of them are ready to hit showrooms next week. While the all-new Nissan Kicks SUV will see a release on 22nd January, the Harrier and new WagonR are slated to go on sale on the same date – 23rd January.

Talking about the Nissan Kicks, the compact SUV has been designed on the BO platform and loaded with several segment first features including a telematics-enabled smartwatch and Around View Moniter 360-degree camera technology. The SUV will make use of a 1.5L petrol and 1.5L K9K diesel engines producing 105bhp and 110bhp respectively. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed manual and an optional Xtronic CVT.

The Tata Harrier SUV is surely one of the much-awaited launches of the year. Based on the OMEGA platform, the SUV carries Tata’s new-generation IMPACT 2.0 Design language. Under the hood, it will get a BS6-ready 2.0L Kryotec diesel engine that’s good for 140bhp with 350Nm. Initially, the SUV will be made available with a 6-speed manual gearbox only. Based on the new HEARTECT platform, the new-generation Maruti Suzuki WagonR receives comprehensive upgrades inside and out. The hatchback will also get the Swift’s sourced 1.2L, four-cylinder petrol engine along with the existing 1.0L, three-cylinder petrol motor. While the former delivers power worth 83bhp, the latter produces 68bhp.
