New-gen BMW X5

German luxury carmaker, BMW will officially launch the fourth-gen X5 SUV in India on May 16, 2019. The new-gen BMW X5 will be offered in two variants – Luxury Line and Sport Line. It will come with 2 engine options – the xDrive 30d and a 3.0L turbocharged petrol engine. While the former is capable of producing 265bhp and 620Nm, the gasoline unit is good for 340bhp and 500Nm of torque. Power will be transmitted to the wheels via BMW’s xDrive all-wheel-drive system and an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The SUV will directly rival the Mercedes-Benz GLE 350d.

MG Hector

British carmaker, MG Motors will officially introduce the long-awaited MG Hector SUV in India on May 15, 2019. Production of the SUV has already been commenced, while launch is scheduled in the first half of June 2019. The SUV will be sold through 65 MG dealerships spread across 50 major cities. The MG Hector’s bookings will commence from June 2019. It will directly rival the likes of Tata Harrier, Jeep Compass, Mahindra XUV500 and others. Claimed to be India’s first Internet Car, the Hector is equipped with several segment-leading connectivity features. Additionally, the SUV gets 360 degree camera, panoramic sunroof, electrically adjustable driver’s seat, 10.4-inch portrait touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control and many more. The SUV will be offered in 2 engine options – a 141bhp, 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol and a 171bhp, 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel.

Hyundai Venue

Korean automaker, Hyundai will officially launch its smallest and much-awaited compact SUV – Venue in India on May 21, 2019. The Venue sub-4 meter SUV will directly rival the likes of Mahindra XUV300, Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport and the Maruti Vitara Brezza. The SUV will be available in 3 engine options – a 118bhp, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, a 83bhp, 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol and a 89bhp, 1.4-litre U2 CRDi diesel. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
