25,000 Bookings For 2020 Maruti Vitara Brezza So Far
In late February 2020, Maruti Suzuki introduced the updated version of its top-selling compact SUV – Vitara Brezza. The model lineup receives noticeable changes inside and out along with a new petrol engine. Speaking to carandbike, Shashank Srivastava, Executive Director – Marketing & Sales, Maruti Suzuki India, revealed that the 2020 Maruti Vitara Brezza has gathered 25,000 bookings so far despite the nationwide lockdown.
Prices of the SUV’s updated model start from Rs 7.34 lakh and go all the way up to Rs 11.40 lakh (ex-showroom). As mentioned above, the compact SUV comes with a new 1.5L K-Series engine with mild hybrid SHVS technology. The gasoline motor makes a top power of 102bhp at 6,000rpm and 134Nm of torque at 4,400rpm.
As of now, the mild hybrid technology is exclusively offered on the automatic variants. In coming months, the carmaker will introduce the SHVS tech to its manual variants as well. For performing transmission duties, the vehicle has a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed torque convertor automatic unit. The facelift model promises fuel economy of 18.76kmpl (with SHVS) and 17.03kmpl (without SHVS).
Major cosmetic updates made to the 2020 Maruti Vitara Brezza facelift include a new chrome grille, revised front bumper with larger air intakes and a faux skid plate, new LED projector headlamps and LED DRLs, new 16-inch alloy wheels and revised LED taillights.
The updated Vitara Brezza comes in 6 metallic and 3 dual-tone colour schemes. Interior has been revised with an updated 7-inch Smartplay Studio touchscreen infotainment system, new upholstery and leather-wrapped steering wheel.
