2023 Tata Harrier Facelift Spotted With ADAS Tech

Tata Motors had launched the Harrier 5 Seater premium SUV in the country in 2019. The SUV is due for a major update and Tata has also started testing the facelifted model. Scheduled to be launched in 2023, the 2023 Tata Harrier facelift will come with significant design changes and upgraded interior. It is also expected that Tata is also preparing an electric version of the Harrier SUV.

The spotted model was heavily camouflaged; however, the pictures reveal some interesting details. The new model comes with heavily revised front fascia featuring a new front grille and air dam with horizontal slats. The air dam also has integrated radar, which is most likely for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).

The new model is likely to get new LED headlamps and LED DRLs along with new alloy wheels. The rear profile of the SUV features the same set of LED tailights. It is likely to feature a re-styled bumper.

The report claims that the 2023 Tata Harrier will come with a larger touchscreen than the existing 8.8-inch display It is likely to be equipped with new features like a 360 degree camera, an updated instrument cluster and new connected car tech features. It will continue to offer features like panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats and an electrically adjustable driver’s seat.

The 2023 Tata Harrier facelift will also come with ADAS tech with features like forward-collision detection, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, rear cross traffic alert, blind spot detection and others. It will continue to offer features like six airbags, ESP, hill hold assist and rear parking sensors.

It is most likely to retain the existing 2.0-litre diesel engine that produces 170PS of power and 350Nm of torque. Transmission choices will include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic.

The new Tata Harrier facelift is expected to be unveiled at the 2023 Auto Expo in January. The new model could go on sale in the first half of 2023. The company is also testing the Safari facelift, which is also expected to be launched in 2023.
