Renault has introduced the 2023 Kiger, Triber and Kwid hatchback, which are now compliant with BS VI Step 2 emission norms. The new BS VI Step 2 compliant range also comes with enhanced safety features. Renault has also opened bookings for the updated Kwid, Triber and Kiger across its dealerships; however, prices are yet to be announced.
The 2023 Renault Kiger, Triber and Kwid comes equipped with safety features like Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), Hill Start Assist (HSA), Traction Control System (TCS) and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) as standard. The Kwid also comes with high-end convenience features like LED turn indicators on the ORVMs and steering-mounted controls. The company has also added chrome-finished door handles and new seat upholstery on the Triber MPV.
The three models continue to be offered with their respective petrol engines. All Renault cars are now equipped with self diagnostic device, which constantly monitor the vehicles emission levels while driving, along with other critical emission devices such as the catalytic converter and oxygen sensors.
The Renault Triber MPV is powered by a 72bhp, 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine that’s offered with either a 5-speed manual or AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) gearbox. The same engine also powers the Kiger compact SUV, but with 5-speed manual gearbox only. The Renault Kiger also comes equipped with the option of the 100bhp, 1.0-litre 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine that’s paired to either a 5-speed manual or a CVT transmission.
Renault has also introduced a new RXE variant of the Kwid hatchback, which is now available at a price tag of Rs 4.69 lakh. It comes with a 1.0-litre petrol engine with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Renault has also decided to remove the 800cc engine from its line-up due to low demand. The new RXE variant is the brand’s new entry-level variant.
