2023 Maruti YTB Baleno SUV Cross Spied – New Details Emerge

Maruti Suzuki is aiming to regain the lost market share by introducing a wide range of new SUVs in the Indian market. After introducing the new Brezza and the Grand Vitara, MSIL is now working on a new SUV Cross and a long-wheelbase Jimny for the Indian market. Both SUVs are scheduled to be unveiled at the 2023 Auto Expo in January. Set to replace the S-Cross, the Maruti YTB SUV Cross has been spotted testing multiple times on the Indian roads.

Based on the Baleno, the new Maruti YTB SUV Cross is expected to be positioned somewhere between the Baleno and the Grand Vitara in the NEXA line-up. Not just MSIL, Toyota could also introduce its own version of the SUV Cross – the Glanza Cross. It is expected to challenge the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Nissan Magnite and others in its category.

The YTB SUV Cross core silhouette looks similar to that of Maruti Baleno; however, it comes with design highlights similar to the Grand Vitara. The latest spy images reveal that the Baleno SUV Cross front grille with chrome highlights and split headlamps with LED DRLs on top and main headlamp on lower bumper. This front design is already introduced on the Grand Vitara.

The overall shape and design elements are inspired from the Futuro-e concept, which was unveiled at 2020 Auto Expo. In the latest spy images, the 2023 Maruti YTB Cross was seen gliding through bad roads. The height of the Cross SUV has been increased to offer more space inside the cabin. Other design elements include new dual-tone alloy wheels, squared-off wheel arches, plastic cladding, a raked windshield and boot-lid integrated spoiler.

Maruti Futuro Details
