Kia had launched the Seltos SUV in the Indian market in 2019. The SUV has received an overwhelming response from buyer, as it has been among the top sellers in the segment. However, the rising competition has impacted its sales in the market. The company is working on the updated model, which has already been spotted in South Korea. The 2023 Kia Seltos facelift has been caught testing for the first time in India.
The 2023 Kia Seltos facelift won’t receive any drastic changes in terms of overall profile. It will receive the brand’s new design language, which we have seen on the new Carens. It will come with an all-new grille design, new bumper and new headlamp setup with integrated LED DRLs (daytime running lamps). The spy images reveal that the new Seltos will have split headlamp setup with LED DRLs on top and main headlamp unit placed slightly lower.

The previous spy images reveal that the Kia logo is now placed on the grille instead of the hood. It will come with a new diamond cut alloy wheels. The SUV will also receive a panoramic sunroof, which is missing in the current model. At the back, the new Seltos facelift will get new LED tail-lights and new tailgate design, and new lower bumper.
The 2023 Kia Seltos will also receive significantly revised interior with several advanced features and technology. The SUV will have a large touchscreen infotainment system, wireless connectivity, a 360 degree camera, a fully digital instrument console, etc. The Seltos facelift is also likely to get ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) with features like blind spot monitoring, lane assist, autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, etc.
The Korean media reports that Kia will introduce the new Seltos with a hybrid powertrain and will discontinue the diesel engine. However, the India-spec model is likely to retain the existing engine options. It will be offered with 3 engine options – a 115bhp, 1.5L NA petrol, a 140bhp, 1.4L turbo petrol and a 115bhp, 1.5L turbo-diesel. Transmission options are also likely to be carried forward from the current model.
