The much-awaited 2023 Kia Seltos facelift has finally been revealed at the 2022 Los Angeles Auto Show. The new model comes with big changes in terms of styling and high-end features. The company has unveiled the US spec version of the Seltos, which is expected to be launched in the first half of 2023.
2023 Kia Seltos Design
The new Seltos comes with heavily revised front fascia, featuring a larger tiger nose grille with full-projection LED headlamps. It comes with a Star Map signature lighting across the front grille and new front bumper that accommodates vertical shaped fog lights integrated with daytime running lights. Rear lighting design on tailgate along with backup lamp and rear reflector on the lower bumper mimic the signature lighting in the front.
2023 Kia Seltos Interior
It comes equipped with segment-first panoramic screen display that combines the 10.25-inch instrument cluster and 10.25-inch center display. It gets a new 4.2-inch instrument cluster with digital gauge upgrade and new dash trim. It comes with 4 USB ports, power liftgate, ventilated front seats, and Kia Connect – the connected car tech. It has Digital Key 2 Touch that allows customers to use their iPhone, Apple Watch and Samsung Galaxy smart devices as a virtual vehicle key to lock, unlock and drive. These keys can be shared with friends and family over text messages on available devices. It also comes with Map & Infotainment Over-The-Air (OTA) updates.
New Seltos X-Line trim
This variant comes with exclusive front grille design with gunmetal finish, uniquely designed 18-inch wheels, black bridge-type roof rack, gloss black door garnish, X-Line badging and others.
The US-spec model comes equipped with revised Gamma 1.6-litre turbo GDI four-cylinder engine that produces 195bhp, paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox. It also has a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder MPI engine that produces 147bhp and 179Nm of torque, coupled to an Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT). The SUV offers 3 drive modes – Normal, Smart and Sport. The SUV comes with an active on-demand all-wheel drive system with a center locking differential that can split power equally between the front and rear wheels.
New Kia Seltos ADAS Tech
The new Seltos is also equipped with ADAS tech with features like Driver Attention Warning, High Beam Assist, Lane Following Assist, Rear View Monitor, Safe Exit Warning, Forward Collision Avoidance Assist, Smart Cruise Control with Stop and Go, Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control, Highway Driving Assist and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist.
