2023 Hyundai Verna – All-New Design, ADAS, Mild Hybrid Tech

Hyundai Verna, the mid-size sedan from the South Korean automaker, was first introduced in India in 2017. The model received a major mid-life update in 2020. Now, the company is getting ready to give it a generation change towards the end of this year. Though, its market launch might happen early next year. The new 2023 Hyundai Veran is already in its testing phase and caught on camera multiple times. The latest spy images show the newly-designed dual-tone alloy wheels of the sedan. The prototype, however, was heavily camouflaged covering most of its design details. Read – Hyundai Stargazer Vs Kia Carens

Featuring Hyundai’s new Sensuous Sportiness design language, the all-new Verna will witness comprehensive styling updates. At the front, the sedan will carry a wider grille extending and merging into newly-designed headlamps. You can notice its fastback-like tapering roof and angular taillamps as we have seen in the new Elantra. The taillight clusters are connected via a reflective strip. The new Hyundai Verna 2023 might also switch to a new platform and grow in terms of size.

Interior details of the all-new Verna sedan are still under the wraps. Though, we expect it to come with a newly-designed dashboard, a larger touchscreen infotainment system, a bigger panoramic sunroof and a fully digital instrument cluster. One of the major updates might come in the form of the ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) suite.

Things under the hood are likely to remain intact. The new 2023 Hyundai Verna is expected to be offered with the same 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol, 1.5L CRDi diesel and 1.0L GDi turbo petrol engine options. This time around, the carmaker might introduce the mild hybrid technology to the Verna model lineup. If launched, it’s likely to have automatic start/stop and regenerative braking system. With this update, the all-new Verna will meet the more stringent CAFÉ standards.
