2023 Honda Accord Debuts – New Look, Feature & Hybrid Updates

The 11th generation Honda Accord has made its world debut via official pictures. The carmaker says that the sedan’s new model offers “an unbeatable combination of style, efficiency, performance and connectivity”. It’s a “key part of Honda’s electrification strategy”. The new 2023 Honda Accord will be made available in 6 trims, namely, turbocharged LX, EX, hybrid-powered Sport, EX-L, Sport-L and Touring. The sedan comes with the 2.0L, 4-cylinder turbo petrol engine that’s good enough for 252bhp and 370Nm of torque.

The hybrid variants have been packed with the 2.0L, 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine paired to two electric motors mounted side-by-side. The setup offers a claimed power of 204bhp and 334Nm of torque. The hybrid-electric system is said to be “more responsive and significantly more refined at highway speeds”. Transmission duties have been performed by a CVT (continuously variable automatic transmission). The new Accord offers three drive modes – Econ, Normal and Sport (hybrid only).

2023 Honda Accord Updates

Compared to its predecessor, the new 2023 Honda Accord is longer and more spacious. The sedan comes with a 12.3-inch landscape-oriented touchscreen infotainment system wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, a 10.2-inch digital driver instrumentation display, Honda’s first integration of Google built-in, new OTA (over-the-air) software, new standard knee and rear passenger side impact airbags and next-generation front airbags. The updated Honda Sensing system enabled by a new camera with a wider 90-degree field of view and wide-angle radar with a 120 degree field of view. It offers blind spot information, new traffic jam assist, low-speed braking control, traffic sign recognition, adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow and lane keeping assist.

2023 Honda Accord Features

The new 2023 Honda Accord carries a new design language with features such as a large hexagonal grille, blacked-out LED headlamps with LED DRLs, a longer hood, black 19-inch alloy wheels, differently designed horizontal LED straight-line taillamps and a 0.4-inch wider rear track for better stability.
