American SUV maker, Ford has officially released the new third-generation Everest (new Endeavour) for the global markets. The 2023 Ford Endeavour comes with all-new design and interior along with new engine options. As a reminder, Ford is not selling any products in our market. The company has recently stopped its manufacturing activities in India and closed operations at its Sanand and Chennai based plants.
The 2023 Ford Endeavour comes with all-new exterior design inspired by the new F-150 Raptor. The new front fascia has a new 3D radiator grille with vertical slats accommodating the blue oval logo at the centre. The SUV has a newly styled dual-pod projector LED headlamps with stylish C-shaped LED DRLs (Daytime Running Lamps).
The SUV comes with a flat bonnet and flattish front profile, and a completely re-designed bumper that has a wider air-intake and a new fog lamp housing and a massive silver-finished skid plate. The side profile looks simple and retains the flat and boxy profile. It gets longer rear doors for improved access to the rear seats.
The 2023 Ford Endeavour rides on big 20-inch alloy wheels. It comes with huge flared wheel arches with thick plastic claddings, while the massive sidestep is also on offer for easier egress and ingress. The rear too looks simple and less busy. It features the C-shaped LED tail-lights, a roof-mounted spoiler and high-mounted brake light.
The cabin of the 2022 Ford Endeavour comes with massive changes. It comes with all-black interior scheme, leather upholstery for seats, steering wheel and gearbox. The SUV gets the SYNC4 infotainment system. The lower-spec variants come fitted with 10.1-inch touchscreen unit, while the higher variants get 12-inch touchscreen. The SUV also offers digital instrument console, 8-inch unit in lower-spec variants and 12.3-inch unit for more expensive modes.
The new-gen Ford Endeavour also comes equipped with advanced safety features including the ADAS (Advanced Driver Assist System). The ADAS features include blind zone warning, a rear cross-traffic alert, an advanced autonomous emergency braking system. The SUV also offers 9 airbags.
The engine line-up includes the new turbodiesel 3.0-litre V6 engine that powers the new Ranger. Depending on the market, the new Endeavour or Everest could also get a smaller 2.0-litre diesel engine. The body-on-frame SUV will also come with the 2.3-litre EcoBoost engine. Transmission choices will include a 6-speed manual and a 10-speed automatic.
Ford claims that the new Endeavour offers a water wading capacity of 800mm, while the functional roof can hold up to 350kgs. The SUV gets a 360 degree camera, matrix LED headlamps, adaptive cruise control, and an automatic evasive steer assist. The 2023 Ford Endeavour or Everest will be offered in Sport, Titanium and Platinum trim levels.
