Bajaj Auto has launched the new 2023 Chetak Premium Edition in the Indian market at Rs 1,51,910 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). The new edition comes with exquisite detailing and the premium materials. The scooter is now available for bookings and deliveries will commence in April 2023. The regular Chetak is now priced at Rs 1,21,933 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru).
The 2023 Bajaj Chetak Premium Edition is available with a large colour LCD console that displays vehicle information with more clarity. It will be the new top-of-the-line variant in the Chetak line-up. The electric scooter comes with new two-toned seat, body-coloured rear view mirrors, a satin black grab rail and matching pillion footrest castings.
The Chetak Premium edition sports an all-metal body and an onboard charger. The scooter is available in 3 new colours – Matte Coarse Grey, Matte Caribbean Blue and Satin Black. The Chetak electric scooter is currently available in 60+ cities. Bajaj has announced that the Chetak will be available in almost 100 stores across 85 cities by the end of March 2023. The Bajaj Chetak is 1890mm long and has a wheelbase of 1330mm. The electric scooter has a seat height of 760mm, while the ground clearance stands at 160mm. The e-scooter rides on 12-inch wheels shod with 90/90 section tubeless tyres.
For braking, the scooter gets disc at the front and drum at the rear. The Chetak gets a single sided leading link at the front and offset mono shock at the rear.
Its electric motor draws power from a 2.893kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The electric motor’s power and torque stands at 4.2kW (5.63hp) and 20Nm respectively. The Chetak electric scooter is claimed to offer an ARAI certified range of 108km, while the real world range is claimed at 90km on a single charge. It can achieve a maximum speed of 63kmph.
