The new 2022 Yamaha YZF-R7 is ready to have its world premiere on 18th May 2021. Ahead of its global unveiling, the images of the middleweight faired sports motorcycle have been leaked on the web. The 2022 Yamaha R7 will come as a replacement to the Yamaha R6 which was discontinued globally in November 2020.
– Painted in the signature Blue colour scheme, the 2022 Yamaha YZF-R7 looks sportier and sharper than the R6.
– The leaked images shows the sporty design elements that seem inspired from the Yamaha’s R range supersport bikes.

– You can also notice the central ram air-intake and fairing mounted mirrors. There are ‘R7’ monikers on the side fairing.
– The sculpted fuel tank and upright tail section add more to its aerodynamic design.
– Some of its design key highlights include split seat, LED taillamps and a tapered rear end.

– The bike has dual disc brakes at the front and a single disc brake at the rear. The dual-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system) will come as standard.
– Engine details of the new Yamaha R7 are still under the wraps. Though, the bike is likely to come with the 689cc, parallel-twin engine borrowed from the Yamaha MT-07 streetfighter. The motor returns a claimed power of 72.4bhp at 8,750rpm and 67Nm of torque at 6,500rpm. A 6-speed gearbox will be on offer.
– The 2022 Yamaha R7 will also source its platform from its naked streetfighter sibling.
