2022 Toyota Innova Crysta Limited Edition Launch Price Rs 17.45 Lakh – New Features

Japanese automaker, Toyota has launched the new Innova Crysta Limited Edition in the Indian market. It is based on the Innova Crysta GX petrol. The new Innova Crysta Limited Edition manual is priced at Rs 17.45 lakh and the automatic version costs Rs 19.02 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). This variant comes with additional accessories that are added at the dealer level at no extra cost.

The new limited edition of the Innova Crysta petrol is introduced to push sales during festive season. The company is offering features like a tyre pressure monitoring system, wireless charging for phones and a head-up display. These features were earlier offered at an extra cost; and now installed free on the purchase of the mid-spec Innova Crysta GX. These three accessories cost Rs 55,000.

Innova Crysta Diesel Bookings Stopped

Toyota has currently stopped taking bookings for the diesel version of the Innova Crysta. The company has officially said that the decision to stop bookings is temporary and has been taken in view of the increasing demand for diesel variants. The customers who have already been allotted their vehicle will get delivery; however, multiple Innova diesel bookings are yet to get an allotment.

Toyota statement – “due to very high demand pattern which has resulted in an increased waiting period for the diesel variant of Innova Crysta, TKM has decided to temporarily stop taking orders for the diesel variant. As a customer centric company, we are making efforts to supply the vehicles to customers who have already made bookings with our dealers. However, we will continue to take order for Petrol variant of Innova Crysta.”

New-gen Toyota Innova HyCross

Toyota is reportedly planning to launch the new-gen Innova Hycross MPV before the end of this financial year. It is reportedly to be unveiled in November 2022, while launch could take place in January 2023. The new model will be sold alongside the existing Innova Crysta. The new Innova Hycross will be designed on the lighter monocoque platform instead of the ladder-frame architecture. In fact, the RWD (rear-wheel drive) will be replaced with the FWD (front-wheel drive) setup. It will measure around 4.7 meters in length and sit on a 2890mm long wheelbase. Powertrain system of the Innova Hycross will include a 2.0L petrol motor with the heavily localized version of the THS II (Toyota Hybrid System). The latter has a twin-motor layout that enhance its high ‘step-off’ torque and fuel efficiency. There will be no diesel engine.
