The new-generation Suzuki SX4 S-Cross (2022 Suzuki S-Cross) has finally been revealed for the European market. The crossover SUV has been priced at £24,999 for the entry-level Motion variant and £29,799 for the top-end Ultra trim. Suzuki’s Esztergom-based facility in Hungary will serve as production hub for the new S-Cross. With the generation change, the S-Cross has witnessed comprehensive design changes and feature upgrades. The crossover’s new-generation model comes with a completely revised front fascia. It features a piano-black grille along with the new bumper, tweaked triple-beam headlamps and newly-designed fog lamp assembly. The bonnet appears more pronounced than before. It also carries wide central air intake and faux skid plate.
The side profile has been adorned by black body cladding, squarish wheel arches with machined 17-inch alloy wheels, chromed window line and body-colourd door handles. The rear section now features slightly tweaked bumper and newly-designed LED taillamps, which are connected via a thick chrome bar. While the Motion trim comes with a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity, the Ultra model gets a 9.0-inch unit with satellite navigation. Features such as dual-zone climate control, heated front seats, keyless entry and LED headlamps are standard across the model lineup. The Ultra trim is exclusively offered with a panoramic sunroof, leather seat upholstery and a 360 degree parking camera.
The new 2022 Suzuki S-Cross comes with several driver assistance system such as front and rear parking sensors, traffic-sign recognition, adaptive cruise control and blindspot monitoring. The new model comes in a choice of 6 colour options, namely, Silky Silver, Metallic Titan Dark Grey, Sphere Blue, Solid White, Energetic Red and Cosmic Black.
As mentioned above, the new S-Cross continues to derive its power from the 1.4L turbo petrol engine with a 48V mild hybrid system. The motor makes a top power of 127bhp. It can do 0 to 62mph in 9.5 seconds and offers a maximum speed of 121mph. With 4WD system, the crossover accelerates 0 to 62mph in 10.2 seconds.
