Mercedes-Benz has officially announced to launch the new C-Class in the Indian market on May 10, 2022. Existing Mercedes-Benz customers can pre-book the new C-Class from 13-30th April 2022. Bookings for prospective customers will open from 1st May 2022 onwards. Interested buyers can book the 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class online or at authorised dealership by paying a token amount of Rs 50,000.
The new Mercedes-Benz C-Class made its global debut in early 2021, and is already on sale in several international markets. The styling of the new C-Class is inspired by the S-Class. The sedan has shorter overhangs and angular front. In fact, the shape of the headlights and tail-lights are also similar to the S-Class. The glasshouse area has been moved backwards to offer a cab-rearwards design.
The company has increased the wheelbase of the new sedan by 25mm to 2,856mm, while the overall length has been raised by 65mm. The increase in dimensions help Mercedes to create more space inside the cabin.
The 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class comes with all-new interior, featuring a portrait-oriented, tablet-style touchscreen with brand’s second-gen MBUX infotainment system. It has a 10.25-inch touchscreen, a high-definitiion LCD digital instrument console, jet engine-inspired AC vents, and touch-sensitive pads on the steering wheel to control multiple functions.
The 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class is likely to be offered in 3 engine options – a 197bhp, 2.0L turbo petrol, a 245bhp, 2.0L turbo diesel and a 194bhp, 2.0L turbo-diesel. A 9-speed automatic gearbox will come as standard. The new model will rival the likes of the Audi A4, BMW 3-Series, Volvo S60 and the Jaguar XE.
