Maruti Suzuki is working on multiple new products for the Indian market. The company will introduce the new XL6 facelift, Ertiga facelift and the new Brezza by mid-2022. It is expected that Maruti will launch the new Suzuki XL6 facelift in the 3rd or 4th week of April 2022. The updated model will continue to be sold through NEXA premium dealership network.
Maruti Suzuki has sent us an invite to block our calendar from April 21st to 24th, 2022. The invite has a strong focus on “X” letter stating – Block Your Diary – Xperience | Xtraordinary | Xemplified. This suggest that the new model could be the new XL6, which has already been spotted testing multiple times.
Suzuki had launched the new XL6 facelift in 2019. It is basically the premium and more rugged 6-seater version of the Ertiga. The 2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6 facelift is likely to receive significant design changes including new front grille, revised bumper and rear bumper, new LED lighting and others.
Inside the cabin, the 2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6 facelift is likely to come with new features along with new seat upholstery. It is expected to get a bigger 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless phone charging, automatic air-conditioning, leather seats, and redesigned aircon controls. It could also get a 360 degree camera and up to six airbags. If reports are to be believed, the new XL6 could also receive an optional seven-seater version.
The new Suzuki XL6 facelift will be powered by the same 1.5-litre 4-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine. This engine is capable of producing 103bhp of power and 138Nm of torque. A 5-speed manual gearbox will come as standard. It is expected that Suzuki could offer a 6-speed automatic gearbox instead of the 4-speed torque convertor automatic.
