2022 Maruti Ciaz Colour Price

Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, the mid-size sedan from the Indo-Japanese automaker, has received four new exterior paint schemes. Now, the 2022 Maruti Ciaz model lineup comes in new Opulent Red, Celestial Blue, Grandeur Grey and Splendid Silver colours along with the regular Prime Dignity Brown, Midnight Black and Pearl Arctic White shades. The automaker has removed three colour options, namely, Nexa Blue, Sangria Red and Magma Grey.

No other changes have been made to the sedan. Features such as SmartPlay infotainment system, leather-wrapped steering wheel, leather seats, chrome door handles and 16-inch alloys are reserved for the higher trims. It also comes with the height adjustable headrest, push button start, rear view mirror with camera display, reverse parking camera, electronic stability program with hill hold, height adjustable driver’s seat, automatic climate control, reverse parking sensors, speed alert system and many more goodies.

Powering the new 2022 Maruti Ciaz is the same 1.5L K15B naturally aspirated petrol engine with mild SHVS system. The motor makes a peak power of 104bhp at 6,000rpm and 138Nm of torque at 4,400rpm. Currently, the sedan comes with the 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic gearbox.

If reports are to be believed, Maruti Suzuki will replace its existing 4-speed automatic transmission with a new 6-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox. The new 6-speed transmission will make Maruti Suzuki’s vehicle comply with the upcoming CAFÉ 2 (Corporate Average Fuel Economy) standard that will be enforced in April 2022. The unit, which will be sourced from the global-spec Vitara SUV, has been boosted with advanced technology.

The new gearbox will offer better responses and shift times, thanks to its sport mode, added ratios and manual shift option. In fact, it will reduce carbon emission and improve fuel efficiency. The updated Maruti Ertiga will be the first vehicle to receive the new 6-speed torque convertor automatic transmission, followed by the new-generation Brezza, XL6 facelift, Ciaz and S-Cross.
