Maruti Suzuki has launched the 2022 Maruti S-Presso with New K-Series 1.0L Dual Jet, Dual VVT engine with Idle-Start-Stop Technology. The new model is available in 4 trim levels – Std, LXi, Vxi and Vxi – priced between Rs 4.25 lakh and Rs 5.99 lakh. It also comes with new safety features, which were missing in the previous model.
2022 Maruti S-Presso Engine Specs & Mileage
The new S-Presso is powered by the Next Gen K-Series 1.0L Dual Jet, Dual VVT petrol engine with Idle Start-Stop technology. It is capable of producing 65bhp of power at 5,500rpm and a peak torque of 89Nm at 3,500rpm. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual and an AGS (Auto-Gear Shift) or AMT. The AGS is offered on the top-spec Vxi and Vxi+ variants.
The 2022 Maruti S-Presso AGS is claimed to return an ARAI certified fuel economy of 25.30kmpl, while the manual version is claimed to offer 24.76kmpl. In terms of proportions, the S-Presso is 3,565mm long, 1,567mm tall and 1,520mm wide.
2022 Maruti S-Presso Variant-Wise Prices
The new S-Presso is available in 4 trims – Standard, Lxi, Vxi and Vxi+. The manual range is available at a starting price of Rs 4.25 lakh and goes up to Rs 5.49 lakh. On the other hand, the AGS gearbox is only available with the Vxi and Vxi+ variants priced at Rs 5.65 lakh and Rs 5.99 lakh respectively.

The new S-Presso AGS variants now comes equipped with ESP (Electronic Stability Program) with hill hold assist. The Vxi and VXi+ trims gets electrically adjustable ORVMs (Outside Rear View Mirrors). The entry-level tall-boy hatchback also gets dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, pre-tensioners and force limiter front seatbelts with front seatbelt reminder, high-speed alert system and reverse parking sensors.
The hatchback comes with steering mounted audio and voice console, twin chamber headlamps, and dynamic centre console with Smart Play studio. It is based on Suzuki’s lightweight Heartect platform that underpins the Celerio and the Wagon R.
