Maruti Suzuki has launched the new 2022 Maruti Eeco Van at a starting price of Rs 5.49 lakh. The new model comes with a new and more powerful engine with enhanced fuel efficiency. Not just new engine, the new Eeco comes with improved interiors and enhanced safety features.
2022 Maruti Eeco Prices
The new Eeco Van is available in 13 variants including 5-seater, 7-seater, Cargo, Tour and Ambulance. The base variant is priced at Rs 5.49 lakh, while the top-spec model is tagged at Rs 8.13 lakh.
Specifications & Mileage
The new Maruti Eeco is powered by a new 1.2-litre advanced K-series Dual Jet, Dual VVT engine that is more powerful and more fuel efficient. The new engine delivers 10% more power compared to the previous model. This engine is capable of producing 80.76PS of power at 6,000rpm and a peak torque of 104.4Nm at 3,000rpm.
The Van is also available with a factory-fitted CNG kit. In CNG mode, the engine produces 71.65PS of power at 6000rpm and a peak torque of 95Nm at 3,000rpm. Power is transmitted to front wheels via a 5-speed gearbox.
The Tour variant is claimed to offer an ARAI certified fuel efficiency of 20.20kmpl with petrol and 27.05km/kg with CNG as fuel. The passenger variant offers 19.71kmpl and 26.78km/kg with petrol and CNG respectively.
In terms of dimensions, the new Maruti Eeco is 3675mm long, 1825mm tall and 1475mm wide and has a wheelbase of 2350mm. The height has been raised to 1930mm for Ambulance variant.
New Eeco Details
The new model is offered in 5 colour options – Solid White, Metallic Silky Silver, Pearl Midnight Black, Metallic Glistening Grey and new Metallic Brisk Blue. It comes with reclining front seats, cabin air-filter (AC variants), and dome lamp with new battery saver function. The Van features digital instrument console, new steering wheel and rotary controls for the AC and heater.
For safety and security, the 2022 Maruti Eeco gets engine immobilizer, illuminated hazard switch, dual airbags, ABS with EBD, child lock for the sliding doors and windows, reverse parking sensors and others. It has a flat crgo floor that increases the cargo space by 60-litres.
