Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, the subcompact SUV from the Indo-Japanese automaker, is ready to enter into its second-generation in coming days. The carmaker has confirmed that the SUV’s new model will be called Maruti Brezza and its prices will be announced on 30th June 2022. The model lineup will come in four trims (LXi, VXi, ZXi and ZXi+) including 3 automatic and 4 manual variants. While its official feature list is yet to be revealed, the new 2022 Maruti Brezza is reported to come with over 45 exterior, interior and mechanical updates.
2022 Maruti Brezza Interior Features
Most of the upgrades will be made inside the cabin. The new Brezza will come with a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with SmartPlay Pro interface and the latest smartphone connectivity. One must note that the SmartPlay Pro will be reserved for the higher ZXi trim, while the VXi and lower variants will get SmartPlay Studio. The Suzuki Connect with over 40 connected features will also be available in ZXi and ZXi+ trims. The unit will also support OTA (over-the-air) updates, wireless dock and advanced voice assistance.
Features such as dual-tone interior, ambient lights, an electric sunroof with tilt-up function, Head-Up-Display (HUD), cooled glove box, rear wiper with intermittent functions, type A and C rear fast charger USB ports, a flat-bottom telescopic steering wheel and cruise control will be exclusively offered on the higher ZXi and ZXi+ trims. With respect to safety, the new Maruti Brezza will offer 6 airbags, rear parking camera and a 360 degree camera. The aforementioned safety fitments will be reserved for the ZXi+ trim. The SUV will also have hill hold assist, electronic stability program with roll over mitigation and rear parking camera.
New Maruti Brezza 2022 Design Updates
Significant cosmetic changes will be made to its front end. While LXi and VXi variants will get new bi-halogen projector headlamps, the dual LED projector headlamps with floating DRLs will be available only on the ZXi and ZXi+ trims.
The higher variants will also come with auto headlamps with Follow-Me-Home & Lead-Me-to-Vehicle feature. All black 16-inch alloy wheels with 215 section tyres and LED fog lamps will also be offered only on the ZXi trim. The SUV will also have all around body cladding. The rear profile will be updated with the new Lightron LED taillamps, larger rear quarter area, and revised rear signature.
Colour Options
The new Maruti Brezza 2022 will be made available in four new colour options including Magma Grey (LXi), Splendid Silver (LXi), Exuberant Blue (LXi) and Brave Khaki (VXi). The LXi variant can also be had in Sizzling Red and Pearl Arctirc White paint schemes, while the ZXi and ZXi will be exclusively available in White, Grey and Blue shades. Buyers will also have dual-tone colour options including Silver & Black, Khaki & White and Red & Black.
2022 Maruti Brezza Engine Specs
Under the hood, the all-new Brezza will house a new K15C Smart Hybrid petrol engine with Dualjet and Dual VVT technology. The motor is said to deliver better performance, fuel efficiency & NVH levels. Transmission options will include a new 6-speed automatic gearbox with paddle shifters and a 5-speed manual unit.
