2022 Maruti Alto K10 AMT – Keyless Entry, Touchscreen, Multi-Functional Steering

The much-awaited 2022 Maruti Alto K10 entry-level hatchback will be launched in the country on August 18, 2022. Interested buyers can book the new Alto K10 online or at authorised dealerships by paying a token amount of Rs 11,000. Ahead of the official launch, Maruti Suzuki has teased the AMT version of the hatchback.

The new teaser reveals the key features of the new 2022 Maruti Alto K10 AMT. It will be based on Suzuki’s HEARTECT platform that also underpins the Celerio, S-Presso and the WagonR. The new model will be offered in 12 variants – 8 manual and 4 AMT.

The latest teaser reveals that the top-spec Alto K10 AMT will come equipped with creature comfort features. The entry-level hatchback comes with all-black interior scheme. It is equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, four power windows, electrically adjustable wing mirrors, manual air conditioning and keyless entry.

Thanks to the new lightweight platform, the new 2022 Maruti Alto K10 will grow in size compared to the current Alto. It measures 3,530mm in length, 1,520mm in height and 1,490mm in width and has a wheelbase of 2,380mm. The wheelbase is around 20mm longer than the previous model. It has a fuel tank of 17-litres capacity, while the boot space stands at 177-litres.

The new Alto K10 will be offered in 6 colour options – Earth Gold, Sizzling Red, Speedy Blue, Solid White, Silky White and Granite Grey. It will directly rival the Renault Kwid. The hatchback will continue to offer dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, seat belt reminder, speed alert and others as standard safety features.

Powering the 2022 Maruti Alto K10 is a 3-cylinder, 1.0-litre K10C Dual-Jet petrol engine that also powers the Celerio and the S-Presso. This engine is capable of producing 67bhp at 6,000rpm and a peak torque of 89Nm at 3,500rpm. Transmission choices will include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT. It is expected that the new Alto will also receive a CNG version at a later stage.
