2022 Maruti Alto K10 – 11 Variants, Longer & Taller Than Before

The next-generation Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 is surely one of the much-awaited new car launches of this year. The hatchback’s new model is reported to hit showrooms on 18th August 2022. Ahead of its market arrival, the variant details and specifications of the new 2022 Maruti Alto K10 have been leaked on the web. As per the NCT registration documents, the hatch model lineup will be offered in 4 trims (STD, LXi, VXi and VXi+) and 11 variants including 7 manual and 4 AMT.

The overall length, width and height of the new Alto will stand at 3530mm, 1490mm and 1520mm (unladen) respectively. While its width remains unchanged, the model gets longer and taller than before. It will sit on a 2380mm long wheelbase (which is 20mm longer than current model) and has a GVW (Gross Vehicle Weight) of 1150kg.

Talking about engine, the hatchback will feature the 998cc naturally aspirated K10C petrol engine with the 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox options. The motor will return a claimed power of 66bhp at 5,500rpm and 89Nm of torque at 3,500rpm. Read – 5 Key Details of the 2023 Maruti Swift

Major updates will be made inside the cabin. The new 2022 Maruti Alto is likely to come with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The unit might support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Features such as a semi-digital instrument console, engine start/stop button and keyless entry will also be on offer.

Compared to the current generation, the new one will carry more angular design elements. At the front, the hatch will have a bigger grille (similar to the Celerio), a revised bumper and larger sweptback headlamps. It’s likely to come with bigger glass area, taller rear profile with new taillamps, updated rear bumper and a flatter roofline. The top-end trims will be exclusively offered with alloy wheels.
