2022 Mahindra Scorpio N To Come In 3 Seating Options

Interesting details on the 2022 Mahindra Scorpio N keep on unfolding as its just a few days away from the market launch. Recently, a test mule of the SUV was caught on camera that reveals the lower variants will come with side facing jump seats in the third row. It will also be available with the front facing seats. The middle row seats will be bench-type. Buyers will have options to choose from 6 and 7-seats configurations. Just so you know, the new Mahindra Thar was initially offered with the side facing seats and later discontinued it as it affected the safety rating.

Dimensionally, the new Scorpio N will be 206mm longer, 97mmm wider and 125mm shorter than the current generation model. The latter will be sold alongside the new one as Mahindra Scorpio Classic. The overall length, width and height of the new model will stand at 4662mm, 1971mm and 1870mm respectively. It will sit on a 2750mm long wheelbase.

Major changes will be made inside the cabin. The new 2022 Mahindra Scorpio N will have an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with AdrenoX tech-pack, a Sony 3D sound system, dual zone climate control, wireless phone charging, steering mounted controls, a semi digital instrument cluster, an electric sunroof, engine start/stop button, electronic stability control, hill hold assist, multiple airbags and many more goodies. Engine options of the new Scorpio N will include a 2.0 mStallion turbo petrol and a 2.2L mHawk turbo diesel. The petrol motor is good for 200PS and 380Nm, the diesel unit will deliver 132PS with 300Nm on lower variants and 175PS with up to 400Nm on higher variants. Features such as shift-on-fly 4WD system with low and high range gearbox, off-road modes, mechanical rear locking and front brake locking differentials will enhance its off-road capabilities. The SUV’s 4X4 version will be called Scorpio-N 4Xplor.
