2022 Mahindra Scorpio N Records 1 Lakh Bookings In 30 Mins; 25K In 1 Minute

Mahindra & Mahindra has received 1 lakh bookings for the all-new 2022 Mahindra Scorpio N within 30 minutes of the booking commencement. The total bookings translate into an ex-showroom value of 18,000 crore. In fact, the Scorpio-N recorded 25,000 bookings within one minute of booking commencement.

The deliveries of the 2022 Mahindra Scorpio N will commence from September 26, 2022. The company aims to deliver 20,000 units of the new Scorpio-N by December 2022. M&M has said that delivery of the top-spec Z8L variant will be prioritised. The booking website handled the huge rush of orders well, but there was a brief glitch with the payment gateway provider. Mahindra has assured customers that their rightful place in the order sequence.

Mahindra Scorpio N AWD, AT

The introductory prices of the 2022 Mahindra Scorpio N variants are applicable for the first 25,000 bookings. The new Scorpio N is available at an introductory price of Rs 11.99 lakh for base variant and Rs 23.9 lakh for the top-spec model. While the petrol range is priced between Rs 11.99 lakh and Rs 20.95 lakh, the diesel Scorpio is available at a starting price of Rs 12.49 lakh which goes up to Rs 23.9 lakh.

2022 Mahindra Scorpio N Specifications

The new SUV is available with two engine options – a 2.0-litre mStallion turbo petrol and a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel. The petrol engine pushes out a peak power of 200bhp and 370Nm (MT)/380Nm (AT) of torque. The diesel engine offers 130bhp with 300Nm on lower variants and 175bhp with 370Nm (MT)/400Nm (AT) on higher variants. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic.

The diesel version can be had with either RWD or AWD (all-wheel-drive) system. The diesel variants offer 3 ride modes – Zip, Zap and Zoom. The 4×4 variant of the new Scorpio has been named – 4Xplorer. It offers 4 off-road modes – Sand, Mud, Grass and Snow. It comes with the front independent and penta-link rear suspension units. It comes with shift-on-fly 4WD system with low and high range gearbox, mechanical rear locking and front brake locking differential.
