The much-awaited 2022 Mahindra Scorpio N will be introduced in our market on June 27. The new-gen Scorpio will get a suffix “N” and will be sold alongside the existing model. Mahindra has already revealed the exterior images of the new model. In fact, interior images of the SUV have already been leaked on the Internet.
Ahead of the official reveal, owner manual of the 2022 Mahindra Scorpio-N has been leaked on the Internet. The owner manual reveals the dimensions, interior features, design elements and powertrain options. The new Scorpio N is significantly longer, wider and taller than the Scorpio Classic.
Mahindra Scorpio N Dimensions
The new Mahindra Scorpio N measures 4,662mm in length, 1,917mm in width, 1,870mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,750mm. The SUV has a ground clearance of about 205mm. It is around 206mm longer, 97mm wider and 125mm shorter than the current model. In fact, the wheelbase is increased by 70mm. Compared to the XUV700, the new Scorpio-N is 33mm smaller in length, 27mm wider and 115mm taller. Both models ride on a wheelbase of 2,750mm.
The 2022 Mahindra Scorpio N has slightly bigger dimensions when compared with the Tata Safari. It is 1mm longer, 23mm wider and 84mm taller than the Safari. In fact, the SUV has 9mm longer wheelbase.
Interior Details
The owner manual also reveals the cabin details of the new Scorpio-N. The new model comes with a wide range of features and high-end tech, which are missing in the current model. It comes with a larger touchscreen infotainment system with AdrenoX AI, connected car technology, a semi-digital instrument console, etc.
In terms of features, the SUV gets a dual-zone climate control, air vents for all 3-rows, an electric sunroof, wireless charger, cruise control and others. The SUV won’t receive ADAS features, which are offered in the XUV700. Thanks to the bigger wheelbase and dimensions, the new Scorpio-N will now get the front facing third-row seats instead of the side-facing bench seats in the current model. The new model will be offered in 6 – and 7-seat layouts with former having captain seats in the second-row.
2022 Mahindra Scoroio N Specs
As per leaked info, the new Scorpio will come with a part-time 4×4 system. It won’t get the full-time 4X4 system. The SUV will be offered two engine options – a 2.2L mHawk turbo diesel and a 2.0L mStallion petrol. The diesel engine offers two states of tunes – 172bhp/370Nm with manual and 172bhp/400Nm with automatic gearbox. The petrol engine produces 197bhp and will be offered with manual and automatic gearbox.
The AWD system will be exclusively offered with the diesel version of the new Mahindra Scorpio-N. It comes with 4-high and 4-low gear ratios on its transfer case. These modes can be operated using buttons placed either side of a rotary knob featuring the 4Xplore system with terrain select options.
The new Mahindra Scorpio-N’s 4Xplore offers 4 modes – Rough Road, Snow, Mud and Water. To improve off-roading capabilities, Mahindra has added manual locking rear differential.
