It is no secret that Hyundai will launch the updated version of the Creta SUV in the country before the end of FY 2022-23. The 2022 Hyundai Creta facelift will first go on sale in South Asian markets. The company has presented the new Creta at the ongoing Thailand Motor Show 2022 (Bangkok International Motor Show).
As a reminder, the 2022 Hyundai Creta was first showcased at the 2021 Gaikindo International Auto Show. In fact, the SUV is already on sale in Indonesia. The updated modezl will arrive in our market as 2023 model, with launch expected in the second half of 2022.

The new Hyundai Creta facelift will come with significantly revised exterior along with addition of new features. The front design of the SUV is inspired by the new Hyundai Tucson, which debuts the brand’s new “Sensuous Sportiness” design language. The front fascia has a new ‘Parametric Jewel’ grille with integrated LED DRLs. The main headlamp unit is placed lower on the bumper.
The 2022 Hyundai Creta comes with revised bumper with slimmer & wider air-inlet. Silver finish can be seen around the grille and the lower air-dam. The side profile looks largely identical to the regular model without any significant changes. At the back, the new Creta gets a revised tailgate design with sharp creases and new LED tail-lights. With mid-life update, Hyundai has also removed the LED bar that connects the tail-lights. It offers much cleaner rear design compared to the outgoing model.
The cabin of the new Creta looks largely identical to the existing model. However, it could get an all-black theme over the dual-tone interior scheme. The India-spec model is likely to get advanced features such as six airbags, ESC (electronic stability control) and ISOFIX as standard.
The vehicle is also likely to get ADAS with features like blind spot monitoring, lane assist, adaptive cruise control & automatic emergency braking. The SUV will also receive a new digital driver’s display and an updated BlueLink connected car tech. It is also expected to get a 360 degree camera.
The 2022 Hyundai Creta facelift is not likely to receive any mechanics changes. It will be offered with 3 engine options – a 113bhp, 1.5L NA petrol, a 113bhp, 1.5L turbo-diesel and a 138bhp, 1.4L turbocharged petrol. Transmission options are likely to be similar to the existing model.
