French automaker, Volkswagen is currently testing the new Tiguan facelift on the foreign soil. The spy images of the 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan has already been revealed on the Internet. The company has now released the first teaser images of the Tiguan facelift, which reveals the front styling.

The facelifted VW Tiguan facelift comes with more aggressive design. In terms of styling, the 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan gets compact radiator grille similar to that of the VW T-ROC. Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace features

The company is also readying the updated version of the Tiguan R-Line trim, which now has differently front bumper design. At the back, the 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan is likely to receive revised tail-lamps, bumper and new R-Line lettering on the centre of the tailgate. Inside the cabin, the 2021 Tiguan will be equipped with newly styled VW Group’s MIB 3 infotainment system. This is basically the third generation of the Modular Infotainment-Baukasten infotainment system. It comes equipped with newly styled digital Cockpit.

The 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan will receive a new plug-in hybrid variant, which is likely to be called the GTE. The new model will receive the 2.0-litre TDI Evo diesel engine, which offers two states of tunes – 150PS with 340Nm and 150PS with 360Nm. While the former is paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox, the latter is paired to a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox.

In India, Volkswagen has introduced the Tiguan Allspace and discontinued the Tiguan. It is powered by a 2.0-litre, turbocharged petrol engine that is capable of producing 187bhp of power at 4,200rpm and 320Nm of torque between 1,500-4,100rpm. Power will be transmitted to all-4 wheels via a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox.
