The 2021 Toyota Venza is positioned between the Toyota RAV4 and the Highlander in the American Market.

Japanese automaker, Toyota had discontinued the popular Camry based Crossover, the Venza in 2015. The company has now re-introduced the Venza nameplate as a new SUV, which will be positioned between the RAV4 and the Highlander. It is based on the Tata Harrier SUV sold in Japan. The 2021 Toyota Venza will be launched in the American market with a hybrid powertrain.

The 2021 Toyota Venza will take on the likes of the Ford Edge, Honda Passport, and Hyundai Santa Fe. It rides on 2690mm wheelbase, which is same as the Toyota RAV4. The new model is 145mm longer than the RAV4; however, the boot space is around 56-litres smaller than the later. In fact, the rear-seat space in the Venza is similar to that of the RAV4.

The new 2021 Toyota Venza is based on the TNGA modular platform that also underpins the RAV4 and the C-HR crossover. It features a 2.5-litre inline-4 cylinder petrol engine coupled with 3 electric motors. The hybrid powertrain offers a combined power output of 219bhp, which is similar to that of the RAV4 Hybrid. The hybrid unit is claimed to offer 40 mpg combined EPA rating.

The 2021 Toyota Venza is equipped with host of comfort and convenience features including a 12.3-inch touchscreen display with 9 JBL speakers, 7-inch MID, digital rear view mirror and 10-inch color Head-Up Display. Other features include panoramic glass roof, and heated and ventilated front seats.

The new Toyota Venza comes with several active safety systems as standard. The safety features include pre-collision system with Daytime/Low-light vehicle and pedestrian detection, plus Daytime Bicycle Detection, Dynamuc radar cruise control, lane departure alert with steering assist, automatic high beams, lane tracing assist and road sign assist.
