The 2021 Toyota Fortuner Legender comes with different and aggressive design compared to the regular Fortuner facelift.
Toyota has released the new Fortuner facelift in Thailand. The new model has received significant design changes, upgraded interior, new safety and driver assistance features and more powerful 2.8L diesel engine. Instead of the TRD SPORTIVO variant, Toyota has introduced a new Fortuner Legender variant with different and aggressive design changes.
The 2021 Toyota Fortuner Legender comes equipped with new headlamp unit with LED technology and LED daytime running lights, which resembles the one offered in the Toyota Yaris. There is black eye-brow-like treatment on the top of the new lamp, which connects well with the slimmer grille.
The lower bumper has wide and big air-dam with blackened treatment for mesh pattern, and new silver skid plate. The fog lights also come with LED technology with black shape housing. It also gets Lexus-like sequential turn signal on the lower side of the bumper. The Fortuner Legender also features newly designed 20-inch dual-tone alloy wheels.
On sides, the SUV gets still footsteps, and chrome ornaments under the side window, and blackened ORVMs, pillars and roof. At the back, the new Fortuner Legender comes with new tail-lamps with LED Bar and new bumper, roof-integrated spoiler and shark fin antenna.
The cabin of the 2021 Toyota Fortuner Legender looks largely identical to the regular model. However, it gets a new 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system instead of the 8-inch unit in regular model. This system is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The new Fortuner Legender is available with 2 engine options – a 2.4-litre turbo-diesel and a 2.8-litre turbo-diesel. The 2.8L diesel engine is tuned for higher power and torque output. It is capable of producing 201bhp of power and 500Nm of torque, which is 27bhp and 50Nm higher than the previous model. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic.
