The 2021 Royal Enfield Himalayan will continue to feature the same 411cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with a 5-speed gearbox. Though, the fuel-injected motor could be tuned for generating more power and torque. In its current form, the engine makes a top power of 24.3bhp and 2Nm of torque. The bikemaker might also improve refinement levels of the motor. Prices of the Himalayan adventure tourer were recently increased by up to Rs 2,754. At present, it’s available in the price range of Rs 1.86 lakh – Rs 1.91 lakh (all, ex-showroom).

In other updates, the Chennai-based bikemaker is also working on the new Royal Enfield Interceptor that’s caught testing in the country. The test mule features single exhaust system instead of the twin exhaust unit. It’s likely to be the 350cc model of the retro-styled cruiser. The Royal Enfield 650 twins are also reported to receive newly-designed cast alloy wheels in February, 2021. Both model use a 648cc, air-cooled, parallel twin-cylinder motor that’s good enough for 47bhp and 52Nm.

A new Royal Enfield 650cc, twin-cylinder premium cruiser is also under development and testing phase. The model is likely to share some of its design bits with the RE KX concept that was previewed at the 2019 EICMA Motor Show in Italy. Unlike the concept that features 837cc motor, the new RE cruiser will come with the 650cc engine borrowed from the Interceptor and Continental 650 motorcycles. The spy pictures reveal that the new bike will feature circular headlamp, alloy wheels and slender fuel tank along with a low slung profile.
