The British carmaker has increased prices of the 2021 MG Hector and Hector Plus (6/7-seater SUVs) by up to 43,000 from 1st April, 2021. After the price hike, the Hector petrol is available in the price range of Rs 13.18 lakh (for the entry-level Style manual) – Rs 18.43 lakh (for the Smart CVT variant). The Style, Super, Smart and Sharp diesel variants cost Rs 14.59 lakh, Rs 15.69 lakh, Rs 17.40 lakh and Rs 18.86 lakh respectively.
The 2021 MG Hector Plus 6-seater model is now priced between Rs 17.50 lakh – Rs 19.61 lakh. Prices of the petrol variants start from Rs 17.50 lakh and go up to Rs 19.18 lakh, the diesel versions are priced from Rs 16.38 lakh to Rs 19.61 lakh. The Hector Plus 7-seater Style and Super Hybrid manual variants have been priced at Rs 13.63 lakh and Rs 15.13 lakh respectively.

The Style, Super, Smart and Select diesel manual models cost Rs 15.04 lakh, Rs 16.14 lakh, Rs 18.00 lakh and Rs 18.81 lakh respectively. While the petrol variants get expensive by Rs 28,000, the diesel models are pricier by Rs 38,000. All prices are ex-showroom.

There is no change in the grade wise colour options. While the exterior dual-tone colour variants will cost an additional Rs 20,000 extra over the base variant and interior dual-tone variants (available only in 5-seater Hector) will cost Rs 5,000 extra over the base model price. The additional prices are as per variant level applicability.

In March 2021, MG Motor India registered its highest ever sales of 5,528 units opposed to 1,518 units of the same month last year. It recorded a sales growth of 264%. The company has also revealed that the Hector SUV gathered over 6,000 bookings in March. Most of the MG models currently command a waiting period of up to 2 to 3 months.
