2021 MG Hector Facelift Revealed – Clear Pictures

The British carmaker is gearing up to launch the updated MG Hector SUV in the first month of 2021. Ahead of its official debut, the SUV has been revealed in clear spy pictures, which were taken during its TVC shoot. Upfront of the new model looks refreshing with a newly-designed grille featuring black mesh and stain grey surrounds. Design bits such as split headlamps, bumper and fog lamp assembly are carried forward from the current model.

The updated Hector might receive newly-designed, larger 18-inch alloy wheels instead of 17-inch units. Minor changes have also been made at the rear. Unlike the existing model that has a red strip running horizontally between the taillights with a thin chrome strip in the middle, the new one has a new black garnish with a thick chrome underline connecting the taillamps.

2021 MG Hector Interior

Interior of the 2021 MG Hector facelift will be more or less similar to the current model. Though, it might come with the dual-tone theme and new upholstery as we have seen in the Hector Plus. The SUV is likely to get some additional features such as an auto-dimming rearview mirror and an updated iSmart connectivity suite. The list of features will continue to include a 10.4-inch vertically oriented touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, powered tailgate, a dual-pane sunroof and many more. No changes are likely to be made under the hood. Similar to the pre-facelift, the updated one will come with the 1.5L turbo petrol, 1.5L petrol with mild hybrid and 2.0L turbo diesel engine options. While the turbo-petrol motor makes 141bhp and 250Nm, the oil burner delivers 168bhp with 350Nm. There will be the same gearboxes on offer – a 6-speed manual (standard), a 6-speed DCT automatic (with petrol only).

2021 MG Hector Features

The 2021 MG Hector facelift might witness a minor price hike. Currently, the model lineup comes in the price range of Rs 12.83 lakh – Rs 18.08 lakh (all, ex-showroom).
