Jaguar Land Rover today rolled out the 2021 Land Rover Discovery in India at a starting price of Rs 88.06 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV model lineup is spread across three trims – S, SE and HSE with standard and R-Dynamic styling packs. The new Discovery comes with slightly improved styling and a pack of new features along with the new intelligent AWD system.
– On the exterior, it gets newly-designed LED headlamps with DRLs, revised front and rear bumpers, new side vents, animated sweeping front and rear indicators and new LED taillamps connected via a new gloss black panel. It can be had with either 19-inch or 20-inch wheels.
– Similar to the other updated Land Rover SUVs, the 2021 Land Rover Discovery receives a new Pivi Pro infotainment system with an 11.4-inch full HD touchscreen. The brand’s SOTA technology enables user to update 44 individual electronic modules without visiting a dealership.
– The SUV also comes with a 12.3-inch instrument cluster offering high-definition 3D mapping. The redesigned middle row seats have thicker and longer cushions.
– Some of its other key features include wireless charging, 4 zone climate control, 18-way heated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, head-up display, a PM2.5 air filter system, seat backs with Land Rover’s click and go tablet holders, intelligent seat fold technology, remote app technology and more.
– For the safety provision, the new Discovery offers 8 airbags, ABS with EBD, stability control, traction control, tyre pressure monitoring system, torque vectoring by braking and Isofix mounts.
– The 2021 Land Rover Discovery comes with 6 Ingenium petrol and diesel engines including P300 2.0L, 4-cylinder, P360 3.0L, 6-cylinder petrol and D300, 3.0L, 6-cylinder diesel. While the 2.0L gasoline unit makes 296bhp with 400Nm, the 3.0L petrol motor delivers 355bhp with 500Nm. The oil burner is good enough for 296bhp and 650Nm.
– The new Discovery gets 4WD system along with Land Rover’s Terrain Response 2 system that has a new ‘Wade’ mode.
