Korean automaker, Kia has revealed the updated Seltos SUV for the 2021 model year in the home market. The SUV now receives a new top-trim, called the Gravity. Adding to it, the 2021 Kia Seltos also gets more safety features as standard. The Kia Seltos Gravity receives several new changes inside and outside that makes it look different from the lower-spec variants – Trend, Prestige and Signature.
The 2021 Kia Seltos Gravity variant comes equipped with a bespoke, chromed front grille with 3-dimensional design elements. This variant rides on newly styled, dual-tone 18-inch machined alloy wheels. The company has added silver finish to the ORVMs, door garnish as well as the rear skid plate.
Inside the cabin, the 2021 Kia Seltos Gravity features an exclusive grey interior scheme. The left-hand-drive Seltos comes with slightly differently styled dashboard than the India-spec model. While the India-spec model gets a single enclosure for touchscreen and instrument console, the left-hand-drive model gets separate layout for the touch display and instrument cluster.
The 2021 Kia Seltos Gravity is equipped with high-end safety and security features such as forward collision prevention assistance system and rear passenger notification. The rear passenger notification reminds the driver while leaving the car about passengers, like children or elderly people who might be seated at the back.
The Seltos Gravity variant comes with high-end features including the 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity and UVO connected car tech, digital instrument console, premium Bose sound system, automatic AC, a wireless phone charger and remote engine start. The SUV also gets lane keep assist and high-beam assist functions.
The Korean-spec Seltos Gravity is available with 2 engine options – a 177bhp, 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol and a 136bhp, 1.6-litre diesel. Power is transmitted to the wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The all-wheel-drive system will be available as an option on both the engines.
The India-spec Kia Seltos is available in 3 engine options – a 113bhp, 1.5L petrol, a 113bhp, 1.5L diesel and a 138bhp, 1.4L turbo-petrol. A six-speed manual gearbox is available as standard, while automatic options will be offered with all engine options. Kia is yet to announce the launch of the Gravity in India; however, this variant could be introduced as special edition in near future.
