Isuzu Motor India has launched the BS6 compliant D-Max lifestyle pick-up range in the Indian market. The 2021 Isuzu D-Max is available in 3 variants – D-Max Hi-Lander, D-Max V-Cross Z 2WD AT, and D-Max V-Cross Z Prestige 4WD AT.

The 2021 Isuzu D-Max range is powered by a BS6-compliant 1.9-litre diesel engine, which comes as a replacement for the 2.5-litre diesel engine. The new engine is capable of producing 161bhp of power and 360Nm of torque. A 6-speed manual gearbox is available as a standard, while the V-Cross trim also gets a six-speed automatic gearbox.
Exterior design highlights include bi-LED projector headlamps, LED DRLs (Daytime Running Lights), LED tail-lights, re-styled aggressive bumpers, side steps and 18-inch alloy wheels. The V-Cross comes equipped with high-en features like a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 6-way adjustable front seats, automatic climate control, six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC (Electronic Stability Control), Hill Descent Control, and Hill Start Assit. It also gets shift-on-fly 4WD system and cruise control.
The 2021 Isuzu D-Max Hi-Lander is the new entry-level variant, which comes equipped with halogen headlamps, blacked out ORVMs and steel wheels. This variant misses out on premium features like a touchscreen infotainment system, alloy wheels, fog lamps, etc. The Highlander is available on with a six-speed manual gearbox, and in 2WD form only. The V-Cross is offered with shift-on-the-fly four-wheel-drive system.
