The third-generation Honda HR-V (Honda Vezel) has finally made its global debut in Japan. While the carmaker hasn’t yet confirmed its India launch, the SUV is reported to hit our shores in late 2021. Here, it will be positioned against the cars like Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta and the upcoming Volkswagen Taigun and Skoda Kushaq. The 2021 Honda HR-V has witnessed significant design and feature upgrades along with a strong hybrid system.
– In Japan, the SUV will be offered in 4 variants – G, e:HEV X, e:HEV X, e:HEV Z and E:HEV Play.
– The new HR-V comes with Honda’s e:HEV powertrain that consists of a 1.5L petrol engine and two electric motors. It also includes a lithium-ion battery and a fixed gear transmission.
– The new strong hybrid system promises power worth 109bhp and its capable to go 0 to 100kmph in 9.5 seconds.

– It’s claimed to deliver fuel economy of 27.8kmpl. The 2021 Honda HR-V hybrid offers a combined mileage of 4.1litres/100km (24.39kmpl).
– The 2021 Honda HR-V carries coupe-like stance with new, pronounced front grille, sleek LED headlamps with integrated LED DRLs (daytime running lights), aggressive front bumper with mesh intake, chiseled bonnet and sporty fog lamp assembly.
– The side profile has been adorned by an angular C-pillar with rear door handles, a sloping roofline, prominent wheel arches shod with dual-tone machine cut alloy wheels, dual tone ORVMs with turn indicators and side body cladding.
– The rear section features newly-designed LED taillamps and revised bumper.
Compared to the previous model, the new Honda HR-V 2021 is bigger and has more cabin space to offer.
