2021 Honda City Gets 4 New Connected Car Features With Google Assistant

Honda Cars India has introduced an enhanced version of the new-generation Honda Connect by introducing Honda Action on Google. The 5th generation Honda City is the first car to receive the new feature, which is an extension of integrated Connected technology. It’s already comes with the Alexa remote capability. The Honda Action on Google provides 10 voice enabled features that can be executed via Google Assistance enabled devices such as Android phones, Google Nest Speakers and more. It also supported by iOS devices. These 10 features can be used with text based command functionality of Google as well. Additionally, the newly introduced features in Honda Connect include Valet Alert, Fuel Log Analysis, Cost of Maintenance Analysis and Enhanced options for Service Products.

The carmaker says that “the advanced Honda Connect platform has been developed keeping in mind customer’s hyperactive lifestyle and their growing interaction with advanced technology, offering instant and seamless communication between the customer, car, his family and Honda”. With over 36 connected features coupled with voice-based services of Alexa & Google Assistant, the 2021 Honda City aims to provide a sense of safety & security, convenience, and peace of mind for its customers. Launched in July 2020, the fifth-generation Honda City comes with a 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine that’s good enough for 121bhp and 145Nm. Compared to the previous generation, the new one is 2bhp more powerful. The new motor has a twin-cam setup that ensures better control over valve timing and valve lift. The new City can be had with either a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic gearbox. While its manual version delivers a claimed mileage of 17.8kmpl, the automatic variant promises 18.4kmpl.
