The new model has been priced at Rs 1.05 lakh, which is around Rs 9,000 more expensive than the Pulsar 180F (Rs 1.14 lakh). All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi. A few cosmetic and feature upgrades have been made to the bike.
The naked Pulsar gets a slightly tweaked halogen headlamp with bulb indicators and an LED taillamp. The fuel tank extensions, fender, belly pan and tailpiece have contrast decals.
Similar to the 220F, the 2021 Bajaj Pulsar 180 features a digital analog instrument console with blue backlit display showing information such as fuel efficiency, speed, odometer service reminder, distance to empty and more. At present, the bike comes in two colour schemes – Nuclear Blue and Laser Black.
No changes have been made to its powertain. The 2021 Bajaj Pulsar 180 features the same BS6-compliant 178.6cc, air-cooled fuel injected engine pushing out power worth 17bhp and 14.52Nm of torque. The conventional telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers have also been carried forward from the previous model. It gets front (280mm) and rear (20mm) disc brakes along with the single-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system).
In other updates, the home-grown two-wheeler make is working on the new-generation Pulsar range including 150cc and 250cc motorcycles. The new Bajaj Pulsar NS250 and RS250 are slated to launch this year. Both models will share their platform and engine with the KTM 250 Duke. The new Pulsar RS250 will take on the Suzuki Gixxer SF250, while the new Pulsar NS250 will lock horns against the Suzuki Gixxer 250.
