1. What are the prices?

The new Bolt cruiser comes in two variants – Standard and ‘R’ – priced at 979,000 yen (which is around Rs 6.94 lakh) and 1,025,200 yen (which is around Rs 7.27 lakh) respectively. It includes 10% consumption tax.

2. How different are the variants?

One can easily distinguish the Standard and ‘R’ variants. While the former comes equipped with the spoke wheels, the latter one gets cast alloy rims. The top-end ‘R’ trim also has gold highlights on the suspension enhancing its sportier appeal. Read – Yamaha XSR155 Motorcycle Each & Every Detail

3. What’s new in styling?

The 2020 Yamaha Bolt has minimal body graphics with clean panels. It offers a seat height of 690mm, thus making it comfortable to ride. The cruiser features retro-styled turn indicators and position lights along with the LED lighting all around, split-style seats and steel front and rear fenders. It also gets a fully digital instrument cluster. The new Bolt comes in two colours – Black (Bolt) and Blue (Bolt R).

4. What drives it?  

Powering the 2020 Yamaha Bolt is a 942cc, air-cooled V-twin engine paired to a 5-speed gearbox. The motor has four-valves per cylinder and offers a maximum power of 53.6bhp at 5,500rpm. Its torque output stands at 80Nm at 3,000rpm. Its suspension setup includes 41mm telescopic forks at the front and dual shocks at the rear. The cruiser gets wave-type single disc brakes at both ends.

5. Will it come to India?

As of now, the Japanese bikemaker has no plan to bring in the cruiser in the Indian market. The updated model will see a release in the Japanese market in July, 2020.
