2020 Volkswagen Vento Exterior, Interior Teased

2020 Volkswagen Vento India

Volkswagen has released the first teaser pictures of the new-generation VW Polo sedan (2020 Volkswagen Vento in India) for the Russian and CIS markets. One must note that the India-bound Vento will be based on the MQB A0 IN platform and look completely different than the Russian-spec model. It’s the same architecture that underpins the upcoming Volkswagen Taigun and Skoda Vision IN concept based compact SUVs.

Design of the new-generation Volkswagen Vento seems inspired by the new VW Jetta, especially the front fascia. The sedan wears a hexagonal grille with the signature badge sitting in the center, a wider lower grille, X-shaped bumper and the flat LED headlamps. Styling bits such as a flattish roofline and a bow-shaped greenhouse give it a conventional sedan look.

The L-shaped LED lamps seem borrowed from the new Volkswagen Jetta. It also gets rear bumper integrated faux chrome exhaust. The 2020 Volkswagen Vento retains the original interior layout, but the newly-designed dashboard (inspired by Jetta) marks a difference. Features such as climate control panel, central air vents and a few switchgears are carried over from Skoda cars. Read – 10 Things To Know About Volkswagen T-Roc SUV
