Homegrown two-wheeler maker, TVS Motor Company has silently launched the 2020 Apache RTR 180 with BSVI compliant engine in India. Priced at Rs 1.01 lakh, the updated Apache 180 is around Rs 6,700 expensive over the previous BS4 model.
Powering the 2020 TVS Apache RTR 180 is a BSVI compliant 177.4cc single-cylinder, 4-stroke, 2-valve engine, which now has oil cooler and a fuel-injection system. The company calls this tech the Race Tuned Fuel Injection (RT-Fi). The power output has been increased by 0.17 PS, and now offers 16.62PS of power and 15.5Nm of torque. The motorcycle comes equipped with GTT (Glide Through Traffic) feature, which makes riding easier in bumper to bumper traffic. This allows riders to ride the motorcycle without constant use of the clutch and accelerator during heavy traffic.
Styling of the new Apache RTR 180 BSVI looks largely identical to the BS4 model. The motorcycle comes equipped with features like racing graphics, large tank scoops, semi-digital instrument console, clip-on handlebars, LED daytime running lights, and LED taillight. The motorcycle also gets 3D TVS logo on the fuel tank and single-piece seat. For suspension mechanism, the 2020 TVS Apache RTR 180 BSVI gets telescopic forks at the front and monoshock at the rear. The braking system comprise of 270mm petal disc at the front and 200mm petal disc at the rear. The motorcycle will also receive a single-channel Super-Moto ABS system.
