2020 Triumph Rocket 3 R Now Available In India at Rs 18 Lakh
Triumph Motorcycles has rolled out the Rocket 3 R motorcycle in India at Rs 18 lakh (ex-showroom). This makes the new model around Rs 2 lakh cheaper than the older one, thanks to India-Thailand FTA (free trade agreement). Here, the new Triumph bike doesn’t have any direct rival but its price is close to the Ducati Diavel.
The 2020 Triumph Rocket 3 R derives its power from a 2500cc, 3-cylinder in-line engine that delivers a claimed power of 165bhp at 6,000rpm and a whopping torque of 221Nm at 4,000rpm. For performing transmission duties, the bike gets a 6-speed gearbox.
Featuring the new crank case assembly, balancer shaft and lubrication system, the 2020 Triumph Rocket 3 R is 40kgs lighter than its predecessor. Its new all-aluminium frame further aids to its curbed weight.
The bike’s suspension setup includes a 47 mm, USD forks from Showa at the front with 120 mm travel (compression and rebound adjustable) and a Showa monoshock unit at the rear with a piggyback reservoir and remote adjuster with 107 mm travel.
Braking power comes from a twin 320 mm discs upfront with Brembo Stylema monobloc calipers, and a 300 mm rear disc with Brembo M4.32 calipers brakes. The 2020 Triumph Rocket 3 R offers four riding modes along with features such as Bluetooth enabled TFT dash, hill-hold control, traction control and cornering ABS.
Some of its design highlights include round headlamps, teardrop fuel tank, a chopped rear fender, twin slash cut exhausts and chrome exhausts protruding from the side of the engine.
