It is no secret that Toyota is readying the facelift versions of the Fortuner and the Innova Crysta, which are expected to be launched in late 2020. The updated Fortuner and Crysta will be introduced as 2021 models in India as well as in select South ASEAN markets. The new Toyota Fortuner facelift was recently spied; though the images were not good in terms of quality. Based on the spy images, IA-design from Indonesia and Kolesa.ru has released a new rendering of the 2020 Toyota Fortuner.

The front styling of the Toyota Fortuner facelift will receive significant design changes. The front design seems heavily inspired by Toyota’s new global SUVs including RAV4 and Raize. It gets newly styled front grille with glossy black inserts and multiple slats.

The SUV comes with fitted with newly styled and more prominent bumper with triangular faux air intakes. The headlamp design will be revised with new inserts. The lower bumper has skid plate finished in gloss black, which add sporty character to it. The facelifted model will also receive new set of five-spoke alloy wheels.

A different set of renderings have also hit the web-world, which shows completely different front design. This rendering has sleeker grille, aggressive bumper, new fog lamp housing and revised headlamp. The side profile is not likely to witness significant changes, except for the new set of alloys. The interior of the 2020 Toyota Fortuner facelift is likely to remain unchanged; however, it is expected to receive new infotainment system and a few additional features. The touchscreen unit will be compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The top-spec model could receive the 360 degree camera, which is missing in the current model.The Toyota Fortuner facelift will be offered with the existing set of engines in India. The outgoing model is available with a 2.8-litre, 4-cylinder turbo-diesel and a 2.7-litre 4-cylinder petrol engines. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic.
