2020 Tata Tiago, Tigor facelifts Launched; Prices, Details

2020 Tata Tiago BS6 Price

Tata Motors has today launched 4 new cars including the long-awaited Altroz premium hatchback and the facelifted Nexon compact SUV. Adding to it, the company has introduced the Tiago and Tigor facelifts in the market.  While the Tata Tiago facelift is priced at Rs 4.6 lakh, the Tigor facelift costs Rs 5.75 lakh (ex-showroom). The prices of the BS6 Tiago and Tigor have increased by up to Rs 20,000 and 10,000 respectively.

Both models have received significant changes in terms of styling. The Tata Tiago facelift receives slimmer headlamps and sleeker grille with Tata’s signature ‘Humanity Line’ in chrome. The hatchback gets raised bonnet, which gives front a sharper look. Additionally, the revised front bumper has larger air-dam and re-styled fog lamp housings with horizontal slats. Similar changes are offered with the Tigor facelifts.

Side profiles of the Tata Tiago facelift and Tigor facelift remains the same. The new models ride on 15-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. Dual-tone paint schemes are available on the high-end variants with blacked-out roof and contrasting ORVMs. At the back, the new models received revised bumper and updated tail-lamp inserts. Tata Motors has discontinued the 1.05-litre diesel engine from the Tiago and Tigor line-up. The updated models are now available with the single 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder Revotron petrol engine, which is compliant with BSVI emission norms. This engine is capable of producing 85bhp of power and 114Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT (automated manual transmission).

Inside the cabin, the Tata Tiago facelift receives a new spoke, flat-bottomed steering wheel, fabric seats with new pattern, revised dashboard with gloss black accents, chromed door handles and colour co-ordinated interior accents. It features a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and the digital instrument console. The Tiago facelift is available in 6 colours – Flame Red, Victory Yellow, Pearlescent White, Pure Silver, Victory Yellow, Daytona Grey and Tectonic Blue.

The Tata Tigor facelift receives similar interior and exterior changes as the Tiago facelift. However, the interior of the Tigor facelift is finished in a lighter shade of grey. Adding to it, the sedan gets shark-fin antenna and new daytime running lights. It is available in 5 exterior paint schemes – Pure Silver, Deep Red, Pearlescent White, Arizona Blue and Daytona Grey.

Dual-front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, seat belt reminder, corner stability control and speed alert comes as standard safety features. Global NCAP has also released the crash test reports of the new Tiago and Tigor facelift. Both models have received 4 start safety ratings for adult occupancy and 3-star safety rating for the child occupancy.
